Leggings + Jeans = Jeggings

Yes, jeggings made their debut back in the late 80’s – early 90’s and were a hot fad back in the day…but they hit the runways again back in fall ’09…and are a smokin hot trend for Spring.

Jeggings give a sleek super skinny look with that “suck it in” thing going on that you get from wearing a great pair of leggings.

Take a shirt dress or tunic from last year and pair it with some jeggings…add a sassy pair of ballet flats or a kickin pair of gladiator sandals and you’re updated to a hot new look for Spring.

Today Jeggings come in a range of price points, from extremely affordable to a little more than I would pay. You can pick up a pair from Hue for $34, Joe’s Jeans for $98, or up to $138 for a pair of C&C California’s. This funky fad comes in acid washed (yes, it’s back), distressed, or indigo dark denim.

Back in the Day

Back in the day…my jeggings were my absolute fav! As you can see with my BIG hair and huge shoulder pads…I loved the trend then –  tucked into a pair of slouch socks and a pair of high-top Reeboks. —————>>>

Of course, that pair is long gone, so for me the best age appropriate choice  is a darker color, with no rips and tears…pair ’em up with a sassy little spring dress…and ready for a day of play!
